even my dog won't lick a nicely cooked carp. Last time I caught a carp, I thought of my dog. Brought one home, cleaned it, seasoned well wrapped in foil and off to the barbie. :cook2: I did not like the smell but I was hoping my dog will sink its teeth on it. Well, bugger me! My dog took a sniff and moved away in the same way humans do when someone farts. :down:

It took a lemon and strong detergent to wash off the stink of that fish from my hands! :angry:

Unfortunately the old carp has a bit (read huge) of a stigma attached to it! The majority of people will not try it. As for the ones that do - good luck to them! I have heard of different techniques to improve the taste. From my point of view, too much effort is required.

been eatin them for year, great with a bit of soy & honey marinade overnight! slap on the BBQ & taste real sweet. fillets also make great bait for gummies.

Oh you guys...lol

In Europe they eat these like mad. Go anywhere in the Balkans and expect a brick to be thrown at you if you refuse to eat carp :P

Yes true choporz, but in europe they dont live in muddy waters i believe, and taste much better, thats why they love them there. sorry feeling abit :puke:

FC what about the BBQ how did you clean that? More to the point how could you do that to your BBQ!
