Kingfish Sashimi and Cerviche recipies

Post by PhilN » Mon Feb 04, 2019 8:44 pm

Hi all,

Been having a good run on the Kingies. Trying to master the ‘Chin Chin recipe’ but not yet got it mastered.
Pretty much do the same for both Sashimi and Cerviche - main difference is time...
Me
Lime juice
Fresh basil - torn
Fresh mint - torn
Fresh lemongrass
Fresh red chill
Touch of Fish oil and sweet Soy
Kingfish slices as fine as I can get them

For Cerviche, marinate for 20 min in fridge and add coconut milk.

Very interested in any other ways/recommendations

Taste good but not quite perfect

That sound awesome PhilN. I wish I could help, but I'm an eater not a cooker

I think Homor says it all, though.

Kingies are a different kettle of fish. Pardon the pun.

I'm not a huge fan of raw fish, but kingy sashimi is not bad!!!

Talking sashimi I assume a Japanese context; you then say "the chin chin recipe". Hmm, "chin chin" is Japanese is slang for "penis". So I'm a little confused and slightly troubled at my own curiosity as to what this recipe might entail.
