Post by Texas » Wed Aug 29, 2018 6:49 pm

Doing pies and chips
Do you make your own chips or just get the frozen ones ???
My mate makes his own, I'm lazyer having found the frozen ones quite good.
I am thinking of purchasing a deep fryer (Not just for chips)
Can't wait to deep fry some of Denis's squid

The old fish and chip shops that used to wash and cut their own spuds made a better chip than the bulk bought crap. Best seek out an old greek for some tips.

Make my own Gra, can't beat it, cheers davo.
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Make your own. Also, think about getting an air fryer. Does chips well, much more versatile than a deep fryer , and healthier.

Hey Tex,
She's got me on a health kick Mate !
A packed rye bread lunch, full of product that was once growing wild !
Cant find my beloved white sugar anywhere in the house, that and the salt has changed colour !
Then you put a post up about " to chip or not to chip"
Tex, either personally sculptured, or the variety that requires defrosting, would be like my first beer at the minute !
Oh, and I forgot about the mate, who calls in for lunch every now and then, and brings Vietnamese soup and flavoured waffle bread ! LOL
get either while ya can Tex, both are a distant memory for me my friend !

Hey Col, PM me, I'll bring around a hamburger with the lot & minimum chips
If you put on weight, blame the salad dressing

Funny thing is Tex, it's not a weight thing, I'm built like a race horse !
Think it must be an age thing.
Thinking seriously, while I'm at it, installing a deep fryer on my bait board.
Now how fresh would that be, adding squid to the "pre prepared chips"
:-D
