l'll come clean ! I've eaten parrot fish and to be honest I don't mind them, they are the last fish I would eat in order of flavour tho.

I tried to cook one ,but murlz wouldn't let me use his hotplate
Cooked plenty of bream & trevally at Bemm River
I don't know why people knock bream
Remember the roe in butter is grouse
They might be different if caught with plastic, out of a plastic boat

Dont mind a fish curry have done it with snapper and kingfish for something different. Don't know about carp but would give it a go if one of the people who promotes eating carp prepared it.
What I did like was the other blokes shirt. Wonder how many Bangladeshi cricket fans live in the U.S.

Local fish monger sells heaps, but they are farmed
So you are allowed to farm a noxious fish ???

All the palagics fo great in curry.
I've cooked barra and kingfish curry but eating those two fish without curry is probably a better option.
Kingfish are fantastic to eat.

the whole point of curries is to use cheaper cuts/ less quality of meats.
Look at where curries are from, mainly poorer areas/ farming areas that use localy caught fish/meat and then their own spices/vegies.
Carp in a curry would suit it well...id be a bit more picky where it was coming from though. Would dream of eating a localy caught one. A river in central vic or somewhere would be better (less chance of nasty polution)
If you are putting kingfish in a curry...take a long hard look at yourself...
