There's millions of them under Port Campbell pier Victoria west coast, huge ones at that ! :fish11:

Actually, it tastes good. If you know how to cook it properly. For me, i just steam it with spring onion, ginger and some soya sauce.

Agree I don't mind eating them as well.
Need to be very fresh as in "still moving" while being cooked. Leave it for the next day and even my dog will run from it.

Some flavour combo mate; does it still taste like fish, or spring onion, ginger and soy sauce? :)

For the record, fish are meant to be salted, floured and shallow fried in a mix of oil/butter... :dinner:

I don't mind the old wrasse, the big ones put up a great fight especially on light gear & plastics. I've even caught them in tidal rockpools, that was awesome fun.
I tried eating a blue throat once but didn't like it. C&R for me.

I've caught lots of these in rocky/sandy water in the southwest coast of the state, a different species to bluethroat but these ones sure do go hard.
