Re: Morning catch
Perhaps a bit late if they were undersized! You need to be aware of the regs. I haven't caught a salt water fish in my life but I can assure you, the odd times I have tried I had no intentions of keeping anything so as to avert these issues. Only thing I did was to find out if there were any noxious species that should not go back and any areas where you weren't allowed to fish. Nice fish as well!morgz86 wrote:...........................................................................................................................................not sure what they are anyone help us out hope they not undersized!

Re: Morning catch
I realy should know what you are catching if you are going to keep fish - if you dont know the ID of a species or the min size you realy should return themmorgz86 wrote:Went to werribee south this morning with a friend caught these but not sure what they are anyone help us out hope they not undersized!
with salmon you should also bleed them if you are going to eat them you will get better tasting fish that way
or use them as shark bait

Re: Morning catch
I'd be having a read of this https://www.dpi.vic.gov.au/fisheries/re ... hing-guide" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as ignorance is not an excuse to take undersize or protected fish.
In future, it would be wise to release any fish you don't know.
