Family Gurnard Perches (Neosebastidae)
Common Gurnard Perch (Neosebastes scorpaenoides)
Great eating caught heaps down in Warrnambool :dinner:
Watch out for the spines, Use pliers to cut off spines

Family ocean Perches (Sebastidae)
Very similar species is the
Reef ocean perch (Helicolenus percoides)

Thanks guys for all the help , unfortunately I didnt no this information and I chucked about 15 of em back hahah

Lived with fishmonger and he called them Poormans Lobster as the flesh is similar.

I think you will keep em next time. 8-)
