Among a mixed bag of small fish we got two of these. Surely common but we don’t know what it is

Notolabrus tetricus. Female version of the Blue Throat Wrasse.
They're hermaphrodites. Once you pluck the male out of a colony the dominant female will change to a male

Parrotfish/wrasse like the others said. Fish is a fish, better than donut.

You can download the fisheries Victoria app on your phone.
It has a list of most species that are usually caught in Victoria. With pics. Legal size and bag limits etc and much more..
Its very handy to have
