Fish Id - Lake eildon
Didn't ever think I'd get something from Lake Eildon and not know what it is.... First thought was a Roach, but eye and fins threw me. I've caught <10cm carp before, didn't look like this either. Quick google search and best guess I can put out is a Chub...? If so, never heard of them before.
Cheers, Chris

Cheers pat - I was thrown when googling pictures, the majority of roach pics were red eyed, and it was described as a distinctive tell-tale sign for ID. Do you know the go, with this? Male/female, juvenile etc?

I'd be putting it on a two hook rig and floating it back out for a big brown or a cod, but maybe thats just me

As one of the glorious pommes referred to earlier my initial though was roach but casting my mind back to my teenage Fishing year I now think it looks like a Dace. These are like lightweight pale roach. J have not heard of any in this country by that’s what it looks like to me.
