Hey guys,

I'm having trouble identifying this trout. My guess is that its a discoloured brown.
Caught it last weekend at Lake Eildon, measuring in at 43cm.

Cheers.

I'm going to call it for an Atlantic Salmon too. Mainly due to the tail shape and the indistinct shaped spots on the back. End of the top jaw in relation to the eye is also another indicator although hard to tell from the photo.

agree its in poor condiction.

A few weeks ago we maybe got half a dozen in poor condiction like this mixed in with some good fish.

After they strike the just give up....even with 4 pd line.
