Hi everyone. We caught this fish last night near St Kilda in PPB. Almost looks like a carp but i know it isnt. Any help would be great. Thanks

got me stumped. i think it might be a butter fish but not 100%

Yeh i have no idea. I have never ever seen one of these before. The butter fish has a small mouth. This one has a huge mouth exactly like a carp. Maybe they are evolving? Lol

Yep, that's a Dusky Morwong. You see them along the rocks near the warmies sometimes, too.
