To get the big live bait far out get or make sliders.
Good tip. Happened to me once, live mullet got hit and it swam like 50 metres in 2 seconds, thought the circle hook already did the job, but didn't. Lift and nothing. No scaled mullet too though, just empty hook. Probably the mullet got off the hook on that first hit.

try a few different types mullet might not work so try garfish or vice versa just dont use one thing because they mightn eat it give them a variety

All my rigs are customised. A rig is simply a means of presenting a bait in a certain situation.
