The best jewie bait is the freshest bait, and you won't get any fresher than live. Mullet, salmon, whiting, tailor, slimies, to name a few, all work very well. Basically anything that has a slender body shape. Mullet are most commonly used as they are plentiful and easy to catch, and are quite hardy. They can kick around on a set of hooks all night long.

What rig would you reccomend for live bait? Float? Running sinker?
