Stockyard point

Post by Jesse » Sat Oct 29, 2016 8:46 pm

I headed out to stockyard point tonight as the weather was perfect with no wind and lots of ☀️. Headed up at about 5pm as low tide was at 7pm. Went with a friend and we took 1 surf rod each. There were5 other people already there. As son as we set our rods up the guy next to us had 2 rods go off at the same time and he was trying to get both in. One of them busted off and he was left with one which was definitely a gummy. As the gummy was nearly in it busted off as well so he was left with nothing. After that he got no more bites and the rest of us had no bites at all. Was usingsquid and pilchard as bait as I had no prawns. Headed back after a couple of hours. Was a perfect evening and was a little dissapointed but anyway, next time!
