All n all was a very slow day and I didn't have high expectations anyway, launched at 6am headed towards tyabb bank one big banjo was all that came up.. So we decided to venture down towards Rhyll but ended up closer to corinella and fished the deepest part of wpb I've ever fished 56m!! Threw out my gummy rod with a squid ring and within minutes it buckled over! A few mild runs out of a tight drag I presumed it was a small gummy until.. The head shakes! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as the red color started to appear! Opened the account with a respectable 4kg snapper!
With wind against tide we spent the rest of the day untangling and catching small gummies and port jacksons..
Weighing in at 3pm my "pinkie
" was up against a couple of couta and a frog started the season in nice form!Friends also fished Rhyll today for a pre season red and were rewarded with 2 of similar size!
This is still only one good report out of 100's of **** ones but today was my day!
