By 7.30AM was out in 18m of water off Warneet, just as a patch of heavy rain and winds hit WP. Not long after, my 'cheapo' Kmart rod buckles over and the reel starts screaming...
Took it easy and 15mins later boated a nice 6kg red.
Bait used was 3 weeks old silver whiting, re-frozen.
Not many boats out there as the water was very choppy and rain was heavy at times.
Had to be back home at 10AM, so I packed up soon after and headed home.
Got to love these quick sessions.
