Newport warmies pinkies

Post by Kenle » Thu Mar 29, 2018 10:09 am

Pinkies are in good numbers in the shipping chanel near the warmies. Spent few hrs in the early mornings yesterday and nearly bagged out, got a juicy 53cm one but the rest ranged between 31cm -39cm great pan size. Big one was caught on whole garfish but the rest were caught on pillies. Plenty ppl around having similar success, only trouble is the amount of rods out from everyone. Be prepared to tangle few lines and just wound up when you see a big ship cruise pass, the current they create crosses everyones lines together. Goodluck everyone :water:

This was from March

Might be wrong here but pinkies spawn season in PPB is well and truly over and won't begin again until generally around September/October.

Still a chance to get them, but far less than in snapper season.

Can’t wait! I’ll be starting my hunt a bit earlier though. Usually do :)
