X 2 for a piece of squid on end of hook.Lightningx wrote:Can be a pain at times and I have had the same problem in the past. Threading it on many times helps. If you are trying to cast a bit of a distance to stay on better I have found a strip of squid placed over the hook after threading the pippie on helps keep it on while casting
To be honest though pipi is the wrong bait to use if your trying to cast a long distance as it will just tear off.

Yea that’s true. I know a landbased spot where you have to cast a bit of a distance and many times can see the pippies fly off but after using the squid seems to not happen as often.KeenAds wrote:X 2 for a piece of squid on end of hook.Lightningx wrote:Can be a pain at times and I have had the same problem in the past. The KL's need to have the barb kept clear of bait or the fish may not hook up, remember not to strike if you get a bite with these, the Mustad long baitholder's a good choice.BigBad64 wrote:Going to tie up a couple of rigs using the below whilst using the tips suggested and see how I go.
