How do you rig your fish fillet baits?

Post by STriplett1997 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 2:51 pm

hey folks,

Just a question so im prepared for my next trip on gummies. I have fresh Salmon and Couta. I normally use chunk baits on a single 7/0 circle pinned through the back of the salmon and works awesome, however the salmon i have are quite fat and big right now, so im thinking it'd be a better idea to go with fillets, or strips from the fillets. Is the best way to rig these fillets up with a hang bait like ive been doing with the chunks? or to use a snelled setup of hooks and if so still the circle hooks or is it more ideal with 6/0 suicides or something.. wanting best bait presentation i can. cheers!
