Bread + pilchards + oil

Mush them up in a bucket and throw a handful every 10-20 mins

I once crumbled up a dark coloured Christmas cake and threw it in for the bream at the Glenelg - they went absolutely nuts for it (no pun intended).

Not sure I'll try the Xmas Cake, but I reckon pilchards + bread + oil is a good option to try.
