Hi all

Fairly new to all this fishing, unfortunately I'm restricted to land based fishing for now..
I've been reading bass yabbies are a great bait especially when sourced fresh yourself.
Just wondering where when and how is the best to do this
Thanks

Any specific locations would be a better help. Thanks

You can get them at Warneet next car park up from the boat ramp near the sail club. It is very soft mud.
They are at Tooradin below the fish cleaning tables.
They are at Grantville at the end of the community centre area and at Corinella on any of the tidal flats. They are also at Cannons Creek near the jetty.
I assume they are all over Western Port but I have only been to the top of the Bay. Nearly all the Western Port locations are very muddy.
They are also at Inverloch at the very end of the Community caravan park near Screw Creek.

You will need to do some research on Google earth to find your spots and of course need to pick mid to low tide. Do not try and pump where it is dry as you need to pump water to suck them out.

They are found in many areas throughout western port. Get a pump look at a map find a likely area and get out and have a go mate as you don't need specific locations.
