Post by Delirium » Sat Mar 04, 2017 4:42 pm

Been on a few missions over the past couple weeks to stock the bait freezer for a few upcoming trips.

Plenty of gars in PPB recently.

Off Mt Eliza this morning. They were getting bashed right behind the boat at times too......couldn't tempt the culprits with a livie or plastics. Didn't even get a look at them.

Cheers.

That's a pretty good haul

I tried for them off Mt Martha cliffs from the yak today, no joy though. It was my first time targeting them though so I was probably doing a bunch of stuff wrong

There's a garfish stickbait available that might work well when something starts hitting the school of gars you've burlied up: http://www.rayannes.com.au/shop-online/ ... 120-23-95/

Never used it myself but I know kingfish like them

They were out in about 12m. Often the case when it's bright and calm. Especially if they're getting beaten up.

Yes, I've seen those online and wondered if they might be worth having in the box. I've had some success in the past hooking a dead gar through the head and casting retrieving it for rats. But no love today.

Yep. I always make sure a couple of the better ones get put aside. Quite fond of them actually.

Could be right Dazz. Have seen quite a few sniffing around the boat around Mornington last few time out around there.
