The Rip

Post by Wolly Bugger » Fri Jan 05, 2018 2:23 pm

Plan launch at Sorrento before sunrise, catch some squid and then hit the rip. Jigging and Live bait. The deck hand was a bit anxious about the rip. It was flat as a tack when we arrived.

Found what looked like some fish holding on the sonar so X mark the spot.

Jigging produced zilch, whilst we kept getting bites on the squid and loosing the squid. We did hook one razz and had a bit hit on the bait that failed to hook up.

By this time the drift speed was picking up a fair bit and the swell was making things a little lumpy. When the deckie decide he had had enough so we were off the water by 9 am.

Plan to hit it again next week.
