Jig rod recommendation
Jig rod recommendation
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a really good jig rod, jig weight I will use 60g up to 200g.
Happy to spend that bit extra for something really good.
Also - what reel would you match it with?
Thanks
Phil

Way to long a rod.smile0784 wrote:15 to 30lb terez with 5 to 6000 stradic
I use a tcurve deep jig 200. Won't be any good for 60g jig weights though
Re: Jig rod recommendation
Yeah I have the 200-400g t-curve and it’s a bit of a broomstick on anything less than 200g
Looking for a top notch rod for lighter jigs like the Samaki range

Re: Jig rod recommendation
something like this would be ideal..
https://www.fishingtackleshop.com.au/pr ... _0QAvD_BwE
or look at the Abu veritas jigging range, Penn Jigging range (very nice). and the shimano ocea jigging range, and also the storm models..
reel wise the shimano saragossa series or the Daiwa saltist LTD/BG range if buying local

Re: Jig rod recommendation
Jignesis, I believe they're trying to break into the Vic Market. Not sure if Complete anglre in Dandy, Hooked on in Hoppers or Kollious in sunshine stock them or not but they're medium priced and proper Jigging rods.

Re: Jig rod recommendation
Fitzy90 recommended a Shimano TCurve Deep Jig 200 with a Saragossa 10000 for Kingfish and small tuna....took his advise and now it's one of my favourite combos (& it's great for trolling as well)
