Kingfish Search 2017

For me it will be my 1st try targeting Kingfish in Victoria many here reading other threads have been successful.

So who's gearing up to target and hopefully catch Kingies over the next 3 months?

Been geared up and ready for a few months, just waiting for as soon as life and weather allows a trip out. Portland is just starting to come on and some bloody big fish coming from the far east. 15kg+ is this year's aim

The water is still a bit cold here imo

Last year I caught more once the warmer water brought them down

Hooefully end of January it starts warming up.

I'm keen even have the new boat ( kayak )for this season and a new paddle - a mate pulled a rat over the xmas break at Welshpool - I think his first kayak caught king

we have our first off shore kayak comp later this month and kings are one of the prefured species

I got most off mine last year at nude up secret kingy spot.

Its worth a trip once the water warms up
