Boat Ramps
Boat Ramps
Things are hotting up on the boat ramp situation in Victoria. If one of the state govt. parties is smart enough to create a policy regarding proper boat ramp governance and accountability they will win many votes. Have a look at this site headed up by Rex Hunt and co. and register there as well.

Governments. Given it's local councils charging and pocketing the cash... Can park the car with the yuppies of Sorrento for free, yet drive 100m down the road with a boat and have to pay $12. Same goes for anywhere on the Mornington Peninsulaphil1818 wrote:With any luck Rex is the bloke to get action without a doubt. Complete p1ss take our government

You're not wrong there Brucey. I don't think we put enough pressure on local/state government to justify where/how they are spending ramp fees. Certainly doesn't seem like that money is going back into benefiting fishos.
Re: Boat Ramps
Great to see some moment regarding ramps, I've complained several time to the council regarding the warmies boat ramp parking and access, you get cars (no trailers) parking along the prep lane who leave their cars while they go fishing along the approach to the power station, also the pontoons get crowed with fishos, I've called out many times for them to move as I launch or recover and have been told get get stuffed (being polite here) the council have done nothing but they charge a arm and leg to use the ramp, I'm at a loss what can be done.
