TILAPIA ON THE CHEW
Had a fun morning Tilapia fishing in a nearby farm dam close to Lusaka in Zambia. Kept 27 and threw back plenty of smaller ones and finally was out of worms. I also released two big catfish as the local variety taste like mud!. Needless to say fresh filleted Tilapia and chips tonight. Unlike many fish Tilapia freeze quite well.

Re: TILAPIA ON THE CHEW
We catch 3 varieties of Tilapia here and Nemwe (yellowbelly Tilapia) fight best as they live in rivers and prefer running water - they also take soft plastics readily and get to over 3 kg so are fun on light tackle. The Tilapia in the pic are known as Red Tilapia and to be honest are not the greatest fighters - certainly not as good as Australian Black Bream or Carp for that matter.
