llandudno pier
Had a great day today I went to llandudno in wales with my sister she went shopping I hit the pier with a rod I borrowed from one of my nephews. I paid my 5 pounds to fish off the pier bought some lug worms a couple of sinkers and a few hooks then made my way to the end of the pier.
I set up and cast in I got talking with a bloke who had retired there and fished the pier 4 days a week he pays 60 pound for a yearly ticket, anyway I had a few bites and lost them got snagged lost the sinkers I was going to go and buy more when george steps in gives me more sinkers and rigs even a cup of coffee very friendly.
I suddenly hit a purple patch of dogfish a kind of shark which has the roughest skin ever the first one wrapped itself round my arm and took the skin off there was heaps of these a real pain. I struck into another fish this one feels different mackerel ended up with a few. I gave the fish to george I was just happy to have a fish.
Hopefully I will get another chance next week on the east coast.

Re: llandudno pier
Nice report.
What are the fishing facilities like down there.
Always good to see an overseas report.

Re: llandudno pier
You find lug worms in estuary areas you look for worm like sand piled up and dig them they are about 15cm long and black in colour they are great bait they withstand a fair cast fairly fat things
