Great result,
I was also down there last Wednesday to Friday trying to stay out of the wind! I tried a couple of times in a bit of protection from the sw wind on newhaven jetty for just a gurnard but a couple half way down the pier were pulling in mullet one after the other on the rising tide.
Do you have any general suggestions you are happy to share about where to try based on the island for whiting?
Thanks,
Paul

You can try cleeland bight for whiting off the beach and throw a baited jig in for some big squid at the same time.
