Easter tips for Western Port?
Hi there
A group of us are going fishing in one of those rent-a-boats out of Rhyll over Easter Weekend. Does anyone have tips on what species we should be targeting at this time of year / rigs, bait, lures etc / locations close to Rhyll, they only have 8hp motors on them so can't go too far... We were thinking of targeting the few hours prior to the pm high tide up till maybe an hour afterwards. Any help much appreciated!

How rude of me! have added an intro to the intro section...
Thanks for the tips, what sort of rig do you suggest when using the pipis - do you add cotton to keep them on the hook?

The main species would be Elephant fish I would say and maybe Gummy shark and whiting from the area you are going to fish, just ask the bloke renting the boat and he will tell you where to target these fish, you won't have to go out far and the best bait would be Pilchard, squid and fresh prawn and pipi if you can afford it
