Phillip Island - non fishing (and pic-heavy!)
Family holiday time this past week, so no fishing, but I did see quite a few others who looked like they were having fun on the water.
Conditions were changeable - rain and wind one minute, then blue skies and sun the next. But overall we had some great weather
to explore the Island...
Spent on morning walking along Cleeland Bight...
The view from the top of the big dune at Cleeland Bight...
Plenty of boats scattered around the Bight...
Just a couple further offshore, despite the great-looking conditions...
One bloke trying his luck in the middle of Cleeland Bight...
The sight-seeing boats were out in force too...
Trying for squid (or whiting?) closer in to the big dune...
One yakker cleaning some squid up towards the steps...
A couple of yaks, but missing the occupants!
A whistling kite, keeping a watchful eye on proceedings...
Looking across (from San Remo) to Newhaven Jetty - a couple of fishos trying their luck...
On Friday we made our way to Cowrie Beach, The Nobbies and also made my first trip to Berry Beach
(despite having been visiting the Island for 30 years)...
One rather inappropriately dressed fisho daring the rocks at Cowrie Beach...
I thought he'd hooked a decent fish, but it turned out to be the bottom...
A pair of Sooty Oystercatchers chilling out on the rocks...
A grumpy Cape Barren Goose guarding the path back up from the beach...
I had to stare him down...
Scoffing chips and wedges in the Nobbies Centre...
Not many of these around - Kelp Gull at The Nobbies...
The swell was pretty rough along the south coast...
Pyramid Rock with Cape Woolamai in the background...
Berry Beach from the rocks at the eastern end...
The same beach from the steps that lead down from the car-park...

Some very nice shots there, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Love the shots of the kite and the cape barren goose.
Saw a stack of geese with goslings a couple of weeks back while wandering around over there..
