Launched out of rhyll still plenty of boat trailers in the carpark we fished up near elizabeth island very slow a little choppy early the boat to our left was smashing pinkies we only managed 2. As the tide turned the wind dropped off completely we thought the fish would come on the bite how wrong we were a small gummy a couple of mullet and a seal, we got disheartened and moved to no avail loads of tiny pinkies and flathead time for a beer at 1500 we have the boat on the trailer and having a beer in the rhyll angling club my mates a member, listening to fishing stories a bbq tea and we left at 7pm it was their comp day winning fish 2.5 kilo snapper winning shark went 5 kilo a gummy.
Was very humid after lunch but was a great day am having a rest day tomorrow we intend to fish tue onwards.

I forgot to mention the eagle rays, banjos and port jacksons we caught rod bender. The best thing about fishing salt water off a boat you will always catch something I have never gone out in a boat and nothing has been caught oh I tell a lie one time off werribee 17 years ago august I remember because it was my birthday

Thats what goods about having the book of secret spots jim....if your not catching something at one spot you turn the page and head to a new secret spot !!!
