Phillip Island Aus Day weekend

Hey guys heading to phillip island this weekend. Just looking for some advice, bringing down a mate who hasnt done much fishing so rock fishing is off the table, staying in cowes, cheers lads

Sunday looks bad. Sat and Mon should be ok. Cowes jetty is a nice spot.

cleeland bight, walk the path through the dunes from the surf club and give it a go, squid, whiting, flathead. current isn't such a big problem and you don't need to be casting a mile off the beach, the whiting come in quite close.

Grab a copy of Fishing in and around Westernport it lists a number of spots for land based fishing on Phillip Island and you should be able to find a few spots that are safe to fish for you and your mate.
