What ever happened about this project ? did it go ahead ? I've not heard anymore about it ?

It depends if they breed a male bow with a female brookie, or a female bow with a male brookie. That's the difference between tiger trout and cheetah trout. Maybe someone got things mixed up at the hatcheries, and we ended up with cheetahs instead of tigers? Dunno.

And then people would have said that was a waste of money stocking them! The ensuing argument would go something like this..."Why stock panthers...they should stock native species like wombat"! Then the response from the 'for stocking panther' side would be..."F**k off mate, I have the right to catch my PB pussy"! It never ends here!

Anyway, I do wonder about the merits of stocking these exotic species (cheetah trout, not panthers). I would hazard a guess that they would be more expensive to produce. At the end of the day, if somebody wants to go out and catch a cheetah trout then they can here. Whatever floats your boat!

I'm always looking to better my PB

The humble worm has been an adequate bait and has served me well to date.

But I'm starting to dabble with lures and scents.

This scent seems to lure them in quite well and I have had some success, grated limited but some success nonetheless, no keepers as yet.

I start with a little surface twitch, a wobble , , , , pause , , , , , then the rapid retrieve , , , , and then , , , , "BOOF" , , , , she's on :-D

Cheers, the theory of Water Displacement floats my Boat
