Rocklobster/Crayfish in Western Port Bay

Hey Guys,

Are there any areas good for catching crayfish in Western Port or Port Philip Bay?? Finding it hard to source proper Cray pot so any info one where to start would be greatly appreciated

I think in Victoria you are only allowed to use a hoop net legally.

Dunno how many people net them as recs but I’m sure working the rocky headlands off the peninsula/island wouldn’t be a terrible idea to start. I’ve considered doing it off Portland but haven’t had a crack yet.

I've had a mate dive for them out of my boat off kilcunda/cape woolamai/punch bowl areas.

They would be a good place to start
