Seals
If you see a seal lying on a beach – leave it alone. Seals are returning to the Port Phillip Bay coastline, coming ashore throughout summer for a much needed rest after breeding season. Some seals may appear sick, but should not be approached under any circumstances. Seals will often attempt to bite anyone that comes too close, and an incident like this has already been reported to us this week. If you see injured or distressed marine wildlife please call the AGL Marine Response Unit on 1300 AGL MRU (1300 245 678) or DELWP on 136 186.
