Yeah.
But tyers is a seperate system. But every chance they went into the ocean from gippy lakes and re-entered tyers when the mouth was open. Besides now they have stocked mulloway in tyers as well.

After fishing there a few times now. I can't belive it doesn't produce consistent mulloway.

Likewise with Marlo - it's incredible that the Snowy isn't a better mulloway fishery. They are definitely caught there - but its a rarity.

Did anyone else catch Talking Fishing (C31) this week? They have a youtube channel if anyone wants to watch the full episode. Fisheries are committing to release 5000 barra, I think at 30 cm, not fingerlings, in the next few weeks. The Fisheries guy says that it will be expensive but basically, they want to make it a viable proposition from day one, when it opens to fishing, for people to be able to catch a barra. I wasn't keen on making the effort to try to catch one of the 100 bigger barra that were released but if its 5000 then it makes it more worthwile in making the effort when the place opens.

The host also mentioned that in a couple of years there could be metre barra in there. Is this possible? It was also mentioned that one of the biggest barra farms in Australia is actually in Weribee. Never knew that barra were farmed down here in our neck of the woods.
