That's a great idea but from what i saw on Ch 10 news dismantling and repurposing the site will be a 10 year project and that Loy Yang could be the next to go in a few more years. I've heard rumours that Alcoa's future is under a cloud as well ,not looking good for Victoria at the moment.

We have lost so many jobs...

yeah, ****'s pretty ******. There was a study the other day that found that there were 6 job seekers for every entry level job so good luck to the people getting the arse from the power station.

There will be if the government ever gets around to investing in that industry

I doubt anyone said that. The renewable energy sector is currently getting reamed because of cuts by the federal government

It's bizarre really. Renewable energy is the future, why aren't they doing all they can to build the industry and ease the transition as much as possible?
