Thats not a worm - this is a worm!

Post by longbob » Wed Apr 02, 2014 10:00 am

Found this while getting bait for Wonga Park session last evening. Longer than any fish I've caught.
Session disappointing due to people who turned up and threw sticks into the pool I was fishing in for their dogs to retrieve. Common courtesies have gone. I fish as much for the solitude as for the catch. Might give Wittons a miss, unless it's a lot quieter up or down stream. Anyone with knowledge of this area???

Your gunna need a bigger hook! Lol.. Wittons is usually busy with swimmers etc over the warmer months/days.. Try at the end of Victoria rd, just past the gun club.. There's plenty of spots to access the river with the same species to catch

Pity there isn't a worm on the species comp list, you might have just about won with that one!

Nothing ***** me more than finding a nice quiet spot and having some ******** rock up with his dogs, or his kids, or his dirtbike, or his jetski. A tiny bit of courtesy goes a long long way.

This happened to me yesterday. I was fishing a river in gippy chasing some perch. I left home at 4:45am. Fished surface lures in pitch black and as soon as the sun rose I had a bloke walk past me with 3 golden retrievers and start playing fetch in the river. I was absolutely fuming. Best part was I had dropped my first fish of the day only minutes earlier so I was hoping the bite was going to start up.

It's unbelievable how rude some people can be, especially with their dogs.
I've had people throw balls and sticks etc. in the water while fishing without even a hello.
I've got no objections to people swimming their dogs, but at least say hi instead of pretending I don't exist because you know your being an a*******.
I don't claim to own the river, I even have a dog who loves to swim, but if someone is at the river first you could at least say hello before ruining their day.
I've pulled my lines in to let dogs swim before and had good chats with the owners.
I did ask one lady to throw her ball somewhere else as it was literally hitting my rod, she told me I was threatening her and that I wasn't alowwed to fish there, I ask where the sign was and then pointed at the one saying dogs must be on a leash!

Also, that's a huge worm!!

Sorry for the rant, but that really grinds my gears.
