Questions about a few spots??
Hey guys!
So for about the last two weeks, me and a few mates have been fishing Cogley Lake off Stud rd, we have managed 3 rainbows and roughly 10 Redfin one of witch was a monster and a few decent sized and the rest tiny. But for the last 4-days we haven't had any bites at all! Been using everything from worms, twisties, corn and power baits floated and on a running sinker and all types of lures, mainly spinners since that's what we've caught most off. Anyway has anybody fished it or the other two lakes and had any luck? And what baits/ lures you used?
Also I've been trying to find out if you can fish the lake in the Caribbean gardens? and if so is it only on market days? And what's in it?
Finally anybody fished Jells Park Lake??
Cheers and sorry if the spelling is bad using my iPhone!

Re: Questions about a few spots??
I live locally and have fished both. I've seen really big carp swirls in Cogley but never caught anything in there, although i fish exclusively with lures.
A mate tells me jells park lake has some monster carp although i've never seen even a sign of a fish there and i'm there quite often as it's on my morning running route.
Carribean has fish.
If you're local in the summer time it's worth making the drive out to Auravale as the redfin fire up as it gets warmer.

Gee don't say they, my recent trips along the Yarra have all been for donuts, just don't seem to be able to score a bite lately.biggar wrote:Yarra is fishing well atm
But haven't given up, I know the fish are there.....
I'm also waiting for Auravale to warm up and will back after those reddies on lure again.
