Hi all!

thinking of going down Friday after work maybe around Warrandyte? is it worth it this time of year and what should
i be chasing? i like using lures or soft plastics but am happy to use bait if it will help land something.Any spots around
eastern suburbs im happy to give a go! just wanna fish!
cheers.

Welcome to the site mate.

Midnight Friday is opening of trout season, you're just in time

I hope that means they won't be timid, there should be lots of hungry unspooked fish in the rivers for the next couple weeks.

Best of luck mate, make sure to report on how ya go!

There is some great fishing in the Warrandyte - Eltham region but there are others on here that fish higher up and have had success with some natives over winter.

I fished a few hours Friday morning last week and managed 4 Macquarie Perch out of the Yarra. Great days fishing
If only I could fish more

That's great to hear you getting onto a few maccas, what sort of size were they Shayne?
