Yarra macca?
Yarra macca?
Hey guys, went down the yarra after work today in hope of at least gettin a bite. Used worms on a running sinker rig with a sinker stopper. Ended up catching what I think is a Macquarie perch round the 20cm mark. I think it's a macca but iv never caught one so I could be wrong

Re: Yarra macca?
Well done - it is always good to catch a 'first'! A question for those familiar with the Macca's, how big do they grow in this area?
thanks

My biggest Mac is 33 cm, but they'd definitely get bigger

Re: Yarra macca?
30-40 cms for Mac's in the Yarra. Have heard stories of them getting up to 1kg in weight, but I am yet to catch one that weight myself.
