Headed out at Eltham today with wifey and the boy, as well as the brother in law's family. Total of 4 adults and 3 kids. I picked the spot and was the only regular fisho in the group so the pressure was on to deliver!! Was a good morning. Weather was pretty fresh but it was clear. And who would have thunk it....success. We caught 3 small Maccas including my 4yr old's first non farm fish. 3 small fish was better than 1 big one.....coz as most of you will know, when it comes to kids and fishing - it's more about keeping them entertained and interested than ticking off the bucket list. And every kid got the chance to pose in a photo with a fish which is obviously the main thing!!!
Was good to see that the Yarra hasn't chilled off too much to produce a day's fishing for the family!

Re: Eltham with the kids
Your doing quite well down there Shayne, good to see the kids catch something, now you may or may not want to keep them interested :shocker: :wink1:  cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
