Yarra Quiet

Post by longbob » Fri Mar 15, 2013 11:24 am

Ive just had another go at the Yarra this morning for zero results. I have been targeting Jumping Creek Reserve, 5 mornings [early] in the last 2 weeks, and havent lost a bait. Maybe the heat has stopped much action - even a carp would have been acceptable.
Tried Lilydale Lake on the way home. Had a good bite but probably a toadie with my luck :doh1: Anyone else had luck lately at these locations?

Yarra at Wonga Park has gone quiet too, I working on the theroy of the heat, hopefully with a few more cooler days it will change.
Haven't tried Lilydale over summer, find it normally goes quiet then, give it a month or two and will try there and Rowville lakes again.

Hi guys,

Have fished the Yarra a bit lately closer to town around Bulleen and regularly catching fish. Lots of bites. Pulling in Eels, Carp, Macca's. As recently as last Tuesday night. Just using worms a little before dark.
