Yarra @ Woori Yallock produces a mixed bag

Started out the evening scoping out potential fishing spots at Launching Place....after determining that there were no easy access points to the river I moved back down stream to Woori Yallock.
Just fishing good old compost worms on a running sinker.
First fish landed was a rather large eel that put up a decent fight. Got it in nice and close and cut the line....never land eels....can't stand the smell.
Second fish landed was a little redfin, about 8 inches.
Decided that with the sun setting I would give it one last cast....bang the rod gave a big kick and something solid went for a run.
After a decent fight - I landed probably my biggest Mac perch, big and solid. Unfortunately in the fading light I didn't take a photo or try measure it accurately.
Mixed bags like this are one of the reasons I enjoy fishing the Yarra - it can throw up a range of fish every trip....when it wants to play along
