No love in Aura Vale today.

Post by skronkman » Mon Mar 19, 2018 7:03 pm

Heard of a mate being gifted a couple of reddies for a feed that were caught in Aura Vale recently (Parks recommends you don't eat fish from here by the way) so a mate and I headed down to flick a few Celtas around. Was a bit of an effort casting into the wind from a few banks and was surprised to come across 2 other fishing groups. One other flicking lures and one with worms out on four rods. The bait fishos had no luck when I asked them, the lure fella I didn't talk to but didn't see him get onto any either.

We had no luck in the brief hour we were there, no follows either. I stuck to the celtas, mate also tried a SP. there were a lot of small (up to 1") fish hanging out in the shallows among the lily pads near the banks.

This place would be easier to fish from a yak although I think it's technically not allowed (yaks are but fishing from them is a no no, another win for the police state).

Not much of a report but it's all I've got to contribute lately.
