try squigies. i use them in gippsland and they worked really good.

Funny u say this I had the first hookup to a carp Sunday morning spinning for reddies..it was a big snag.. I pulled it then the side of the bank erupted i it took off right past me n unfortunately spat my lure :( biggest thing that 1-2kg rod has ever handled lol

Ive been having some luck recently with the Zmans on reddies in the local river, Found it best to just find shallow drowned Snags, close to the bank and cast around that, also around over hanging tree bases, and overhanging banks.
