Re: Yarra status
Both baits continuing to get interest. Dropped hook up on both, snag rate dropped significantly haha

Re: Yarra status
What rig do you use? I keep it as simple as possible. One of those skinny barrel sinkers as a running sinker between two swivels, with trailing hook. The line to the hook being lighter. So if it snags up it just busts the hook off, so its an easy retie of a new hook.happyfriggincamper wrote:Shaping up like a typical Yarra session of the frustrating variety. Hits are coming thick and fast but so are the snags. In 20 minutes I've had 4 good enquiries and 3 reties of snagged and cut tackle.
Never attempt to use paternosters you will drive yourself nuts with the snags
Dropped enquiries are often little maccas. They suck it in and out a couple of times before taking it, so best not to strike straight away

Running sinker rig, skinny barrel on one bean on the other. All rights breaks have been at the hook or swivel so not as frustrating as it may have read.

Re: Yarra status
sinker running right down to the hook or shorter hook leader reduces odds of hook wafting into snags, if it ever gets too much of an issue.

Leader running 30-60cm ish. Still continued interest, cheese significantly 'out fishing' worms in the interest category. Changed from a circle to baitholder for the cheese, changing up how I cut the cheese  and bait to try and convert one of the slow takes into a hookup.

Re: Yarra status
Hits all day - barely sat down but couldn't get a hook in anything. Awesome day out regardless, barely any wind, nice temp and getting outdoors again was enough for me. Sometimes that's how it goes!
