Monsters along the Yarra banks

Post by BIG GAV » Tue Nov 24, 2015 1:16 pm

Sunday I went out in search of a few gummy baits and hit the Yarra around templestowe heidelberg area. A spot if have had a lot of success with in recent times. We wormed up n I only got one carp BUT this sucker graced the scales at 7.25kg!! My mate got busted off twice and we did end up getting one eel for bait before calling it quits!

This is not only my biggest carp but also my biggest fish. Went 81cm.. Now to break that gracious metre mark

That is one serious fish - I am yet to crack the 70cm mark - hoping the Yarra will produce that before the year is out.
Seeing this one keeps me inspired to try.
Well done

On light gear they must be good sport, then toss them in the dirt.

Great fish there. Seems to be some real big ones coming out this year.
Cast, catch and put it back

That's a hell of a lot of carp, hopefully the gummies appreciate it.
