Fat as f$ck. nice catch. What size hook do you use? I use size 8 mustards. Since changing hooks for carp I seem to hook up on every bite.

Size 4 bait holder or 1/0 circle circles are great as it's easy enough to remove em from there lips. It took a few bites to nab this guy but in the end I set the hook on a 1/0 circle and got him

Bait holder works for me. I like to use 1 piece of corn so the size 8 suits me. Most of mine have been pretty much hooking them selves. Lipped

All fish caught in the last month have been over 55cm. I find the smaller ones are a bit more picky and a slow strike of the rod is generally needed.
